Blastonbury is the new monthly Somerset Nerf and soft dart event for anyone who enjoys playing in the hobby. Open to adults and supervised children over 8yrs. A whole day of organised mixed team games with a break for lunch. Grab your gear and join in! If you are new to the idea of playing competitive Soft dart, please email dave@foamflingerz.co.uk for kit recommendations and potential equipment loans. The hobby has never been this accessible, now's the time to join in.

Ammo is provided, so please don't bring your own.

All blasters should not exceed 130fps

NO HPA or Pyrotechnics on site.

Registration and gates open at 10:00, so please be prompt to ensure you have time to gear up for fun! 

A safety and rules briefing will take place before the first game at 10:30 at the latest. This ensures all participants are ready for an exciting day of foam-filled battles.

The end of the session will feature a dart sweep, and home time is set for 16:00.

Please park sensibly in the school car park and wait by the gate into the playground. Watch out for other players during the event, as safety is our priority. Access is off Elmhurst Lane, not Somerton Road (which is reserved for fire engines only.)

For safety reasons, we cannot accept any players who are under eight years old, and anyone under the age of eighteen will need to be accompanied by an engaged adult for supervision. We actively encourage mums, dads, and carers to get involved for a memorable family experience! One adult can supervise up to three minors, all on the same team to share in the fun.

Games last around ten minutes, with breaks in between to reload or spectate the next match. Please remember to bring water to rehydrate and any battle snacks you may need, as there are no food facilities on site.

Bring along your favourite blasters from home for our exciting Nerf events – we can’t wait to see your loadout! However, please note that the maximum power cap is 130fps, and unfortunately, no compressed gas-based blasters are allowed.

Foam Flingerz will provide standard pro full-length waffles and Gen3 1/2 darts for everyone, so please leave your own ammo at home. Certain blasters, such as the new Nerf N series, Nerf Rival, Nerf Mega, and a few other obscure varieties, will not be available, so please check beforehand to avoid disappointment on the day. In my opinion, Xshot is now the best brand for toy level soft dart blasters, especially their 14+ range.

With 5,000 new darts ready for play, consider how you will carry your ammo on the battlefield. A few ideas include a belt and pouches, combat shorts or trousers with big pockets, or bum bags. Whatever you choose, ensure it is safe for you and others.

You are welcome to take photos and videos of the day’s action, but please be thoughtful and kind when sharing images with others. Foam Flingerz reserves the right to use images to promote future events.

Above all else, it is VITAL to clearly label all your own Nerf or Xshot blasters and attachments with your name to ensure your property goes home with you at the end of the event. We have seen some amazing examples of Nerf-inspired equipment in the past, especially at children's parties, and this makes us even more passionate about our visitors keeping hold of their belongings! Remember, nobody is allowed to touch anybody else’s toys without permission.

Please read all the terms and conditions carefully, and to avoid disappointment, we strongly advise all players to contact us in advance to check that their equipment will be allowed on the day if you are in any way unsure.

Event registration for our Nerf events will be on entry, so don’t be late. Please have your confirmation email either printed out or downloaded to your phone in advance. Upon arrival, you will receive a laundered team colour snood to wear. Families can enjoy children's parties together by playing on teams. 

Please ensure ALL your gear and property are marked with your name or initials, as many of us will be using the same neon orange equipment, especially Mags, clips, and sights if you use them! 

Protective eyewear must be worn by all players. We will provide eyewear, but you are welcome to use your own if they are comfortable. If you wear glasses, please consider how to protect the sides where a dart might slip through. 

This event will be video recorded, and pictures will be taken – by purchasing this ticket, you have agreed to this. 

EVERYONE helps pick up darts during our dart sweep! 

We will all treat the venue with respect, as it is very kind of Elmhurst to let us use their space for our Nerf events. 

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled. Any tickets that are resold will be cancelled without a refund. Please contact us if life goes wrong. 

Unauthorized duplication of tickets may prevent admittance. Foam Flingerz or any person associated with the event accept no liability for your personal property during children's parties or any other activities.

I will confirm payment and do my best to communicate quickly, but please remember this is my part-time job, so it may take 24 hours. A disclaimer will be attached for reference, and these will also be available to fill in upon arrival on the day of the event. 

Finally, since this is a very new type of event in the area, spreading the word is going to be challenging, so please do tell your friends and family.
